It seemed like the day I started my third trimester I suddenly became terribly uncomfortable! It felt like over the course of a weekend, I got MUCH bigger and felt like I was carrying a sack of potatoes on my hips and pelvis. I work in an office and I couldn’t sit in my chair comfortably to work and walking around was exhausting. I thought – I can’t do this! I need some kind of support!

I looked at maternity belts. Ugh. They looked terribly uncomfortable and I really wasn’t sure they were going to work for me. I’m a plus size and so not only is there an expanding “baby-home” area, but a little extra padding anyway. I was worried there was nothing out there that was going to give me the support I needed - comfortably.

Yet, lo and behold, in my Google-searching, I found the BellyBra! As soon as I saw it and read the description I knew it’s what I needed! Support for the ever-expanding tummy region AND back support (OH, did I mention my aching back all this time???!) Being a size 20/22 pre-pregnancy and reading the size options as they compared to bra size, I was a bit confused. I emailed the info and got a response the next morning! The feedback helped me choose the right size. For anyone wondering – I was debating between the XL (due to bra size) and the XXXL (since it notes for sizes 22+) and decided to split the difference and got the XXL – and FAST shipping!! I wasn’t sure how many more days I could endure with this baby sitting so low!

I knew I’d have to wait 3-5 days… I got it in TWO! OH you made my day – my week – my month and my whole trimester! I’ve worn it for only one day – I immediately felt the difference in walking. I felt like I was walking upright again! Not sluggish and waddling!! I wore it to work today and with an active work day as well as some blocks of “chair time” I was comfortable! I don’t notice it’s there, but wow can I feel the difference! I could take a walk (highly advised by the doctor and not easily done before!) and not feel exhausted! I feel supported in my tummy AND back, I can sit and work, move around easily and get things done. Best of all – the elastic is strong and sturdy – it doesn’t roll up on me!! (I was worried about that!)

Ok – that’s a long story, but I just wanted you to know I will tell EVERYONE about this great product! The third trimester is busy enough without feeling like we can’t do anything because the baby is taking over and shifting our center of gravity or body shape. I feel pregnant and beautiful and am THRILLED. Best money I’ve spent!!

Anyone who has been pregnant knows how difficult the last trimester of pregnancy can be on your body. As a nurse working 12 hour shifts in the emergency department of a busy hospital, the only way I was able to make it through my shifts was the belly bra.
